ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Expanse Bible Church (“Expanse”) is committed to making ebcfaith.com usable and accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we regularly review our site as we add new pages, media, and features.

What we’re doing

Designing for keyboard-only navigation and logical focus order
Providing text alternatives (alt text/captions) for meaningful images and media
Maintaining sufficient color contrast and scalable text
Using clear headings, labels, and ARIA landmarks for screen reader compatibility
Avoiding content that flashes or auto-plays unexpectedly
Testing new content against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria

Supported technologies

The site is intended to work with modern browsers and assistive technologies, including current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge; screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver); and operating system accessibility features. Some older browsers or extensions may affect performance.

Third-party content

Our site may embed or link to external platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, giving/registration services). While we aim to choose accessible providers, we do not control their code or accessibility. If you encounter barriers within third-party content, please tell us and we’ll offer an alternative when possible.

Known limitations

If you find an issue such as missing alt text, low-contrast elements, inaccessible PDFs, or a form that’s hard to navigate, please let us know. We will prioritize fixes based on user impact and aim to address critical barriers promptly.

Ongoing improvement

We conduct self-evaluations, content editor training, and periodic reviews against WCAG 2.1 AA. As our ministries grow, we’ll continue investing in accessibility so every person can find info, connect, and take a next step with Jesus—online and in person.
