Celebrating 5 Years of Expanse Bible Church: God Has Been Faithful

Five Years of God's Faithfulness
Every church has a story.
EBC's story is ultimately a story of God's faithfulness.
Over the past five years, Expanse Bible Church has experienced seasons of growth, challenges, unexpected opportunities, answered prayers, and moments when we had to trust God for the next step.
Through all of it, God has remained faithful.
There have been times when we didn't know exactly how things would come together. There have been challenges that seemed bigger than what we had available. There have been moments when the only thing we could do was pray, believe, and keep moving forward.
And God made a way.
Looking back, we can see His hand throughout the journey.
More Than a Sunday Service
From the beginning, our vision has been about more than gathering together on Sunday morning.
Church is about people.
It is about helping people encounter Jesus Christ, understand the Word of God, develop their faith, and live out that faith beyond the church building.
Over the years, EBC has created opportunities for worship, Bible teaching, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and community outreach.
Through Sunday worship, Bible study, Houses of Hope, prayer, Super Saturdays, and other ministry opportunities, we have continued seeking ways to serve both the church family and the surrounding community.
Our desire is not simply to have people attend church.
We want people to become followers of Christ whose faith affects every area of their lives.
That is part of what it means to expand the Kingdom for Christ.
A San Antonio Church With a Kingdom Mission
As a church in San Antonio, we believe God has strategically placed EBC in this community.
Our calling is not limited to the walls of our building.
We want to be a church that sees the needs around us and responds.
We want to encourage people who are hurting, teach people who are hungry for God's Word, serve people in need, and share the Gospel with people who may not yet know Jesus.
San Antonio is a diverse and growing city filled with people from different backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life.
Our prayer is that Expanse Bible Church would continue to be a place where people can encounter Christ, find biblical truth, grow spiritually, and become equipped to make a difference in the world around them.
Looking Back With Gratitude
Five years gives us a lot to remember.
There are people who have walked with us from the beginning.
There are people who joined along the way.
There are people whose lives have been touched through a conversation, a prayer, a Bible study, a worship service, or simply having someone stand beside them during a difficult season.
There are also people who helped build EBC through their prayers, service, generosity, leadership, and commitment.
To every person who has been part of this journey:
Thank you.
But more importantly:
Thank You, God.
We know that people serve, people give, people pray, and people work—but ultimately, God is the One who gives the increase.
Five Years Does Not Mean We're Finished
An anniversary naturally causes us to look backward.
But this anniversary is also about looking forward.
There are still people who need to hear the Gospel.
There are still families who need hope.
There are still disciples who need to grow.
There are still communities that need to be served.
There are still people who need prayer.
There is still work to do.
And more opportunities to expand the Kingdom for Christ.
