Remember that these are real people, real lives, and real pain. And ultimately, we cannot expect Christ's mercy if we aren't merciful, and we cannot expect others to understand our pain and struggle if we refuse to understand theirs.

Defining Christianity is quite easy when you actually use the Bible as the source of information—which makes sense when you really think about it, especially since we’re talking about a strictly biblical term. The term Christian wasn’t used before the Bible and had no meaning outside its biblical usage.

You might ask why I’d open a blog in such a controversial way. It’s because I’m concerned that I’m hearing more about the status of a civilian government from Christians than I am about the strength and resilience of God’s unshakable kingdom. When we elevate the importance of a nation’s government, we inadvertently downplay the importance of God’s government. Think about that.
