Our hearts are still overflowing with gratitude following last Sunday's beautiful celebration, and even though this post is a little late, we want to officially wish a very happy birthday to an extraordinary leader, guide, and friend: Pastor Griffin. In every aspect of his life, we see a powerful reflection of God’s grace as he selflessly wears many hats within our community, balancing each responsibility with deep integrity, unwavering love, and true humility. We are profoundly blessed by his guidance, and we honor the vital role he plays in shaping our church family.
A Man of Many Titles, Driven by One Purpose
Pastor Griffin is truly a modern-day example of a servant leader. We see his heart on display every single day through his many roles:
An Amazing Man of God: First and foremost, his life is anchored in scripture, prayer, and an unwavering devotion to the Lord.
A Loving Husband & Father: His dedication to his family provides a beautiful blueprint of a God-honoring household.
A Devoted Son & Brother: He loves and honors his family, staying grounded in his roots.
A Spiritual Father & Mentor: For so many in our congregation, he is the voice of wisdom in times of trouble and the shepherd who guides us back to the heart of God.

Pastor Griffin, thank you for your sleepless nights, your countless prayers over our families, and your fearless leadership. Thank you for teaching us what it truly means to live out our faith. Your mentorship has shaped our lives, and your spiritual fatherhood has given many of us a safe place to grow.
Happy Birthday, Pastor! We pray that this next year is filled with divine health, fresh revelation, and abundant joy.
Navigating the Next Chapter: A Vision for Northeast San Antonio
There is a unique kind of excitement that fills a community when you can sense that God is moving. It starts as a quiet prompting, grows through prayer, and eventually becomes a clear, undeniable call to step out into deeper waters. Today, we are absolutely thrilled to share a glimpse of what has been weighing heavily on our hearts: the potential launch of a new church plant on the Northeast side of San Antonio.
As we look at the growing, vibrant communities on the NE side, we see an incredible opportunity to plant roots, love our neighbors, and share the gospel in a fresh, impactful way.
Anchored in the Promise
Whenever you stand on the edge of a new territory, it is natural to look for landmarks and signs to guide the way. For this journey, we have found our absolute anchor in Scripture. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us:
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
We know that true ministry isn't built on human ambition or clever marketing strategies; it is established by the hand of God. Because of that truth, our primary focus right now isn't just strategic planning—it is spiritual alignment.
The Three Pillars of Our Journey
As we navigate these early stages of preparation, our leadership and launch team are actively practicing three core postures:
We Are Praying: We are intentionally seeking God’s perfect direction, His timing, and His favor. We want to ensure our steps are entirely ordered by Him before we move forward.
We Are Listening: We know that God is already leading the way. Our job is to tune out the noise of the world, tune into His voice, and watch where He is already working so we can join Him there.
We Are Obedient: Faith requires action. Where He leads, we are fully committed to follow, holding nothing back and trusting that He will provide exactly what is needed for the mission.
One Church. One Purpose. God’s Mission.
At our core, our identity remains unchanged. No matter how many locations we may have or how far our reach extends, we operate as One Church with One Purpose, completely dedicated to God’s Mission. This prospective new plant is simply a continuation of the call to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.
Planting a church takes an incredible village of prayer warriors, servants, and supporters. We are standing at the very beginning of a beautiful story, and we want you to walk alongside us as it unfolds.

There is something truly powerful about watching a church family come together with a unified vision. Roof Repairs: Protecting what God has already built by securing a safe, sound, and durable structure for our church family.
Church Expansion: Creating physical space for more lives to be changed, ensuring we never have to turn away someone seeking community.
Community: Strengthening our environment as a place to belong, grow, and serve together as the body of Christ.
Kingdom Impact: Expanding our capacity so we can continue reaching our city and the world for Jesus.
As the theme of our expansion reminds us, we desire more room, more people, more purpose, and more of God.
Anchored in Faith
Whenever we take big steps of faith as a ministry, we anchor our expectations in the promises of Scripture. For this expansion project, we are standing firmly on Proverbs 16:3:

We have committed this project, our building, and our future entirely into the hands of the Lord. We trust that as we remain obedient to His calling, He will establish our steps and provide exactly what is needed to fulfill His mission.

As June comes to a close, our church family is wrapping up an incredible month of reading, reflection, and spiritual growth. For those who joined us in reading Nabeel Qureshi’s Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity, this book has been nothing short of absolutely amazing. It has challenged our perspectives, deepened our faith, and given us a profound look into what it truly means to pursue truth at all costs.
Reflecting on June: A Journey of Faith and Reason
Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus is more than just a powerful autobiography; it is a gripping exploration of history, science, theology, and relationships. Nabeel Qureshi opens up his heart and his life, sharing the intense struggles of growing up in a loving, devout Muslim home while dealing with the compelling evidence for the Christian gospel.
Here are a few key takeaways that resonated deeply with us this month:
The Cost of Discipleship: Qureshi’s story vividly reminds us that following Jesus often comes with immense personal sacrifice, including the heartbreaking risk of losing family and community ties.

As the autumn season approaches, our hearts naturally turn toward gratitude and reflection on the many blessings God has poured out on our lives. This year, we are stepping out in faith to provide Thanksgiving turkeys to 100 local families in our community, ensuring they can gather around the table and enjoy a hearty holiday meal with their loved ones.
